Shopping day

This is what I wore to the Crocs Mega Sale at the NBC Tent in Fort Bonifacio last June 2. Unfortunately, we were not able to get into the NBC Tent even if we arrived there at 9am. We can’t stood with gazillion people who were also trying their luck to get a pair of Crocs at 90% off even if we have a free entrance pass since my sister is a Citibank card holder. When we saw the people waiting for the gate to open, she decided to buy a pair of Crocs for me as her “post-graduation” gift at their main shop in Bonifacio High Street even if it’s not on sale. She chose to buy a 3k pair of Crocs rather than to join the cue and get only the Crocs slippers that were ONLY on sale. In addition to that, some sizes were not already available. Those Crocs were the excess that they were not able to sell before. Oh well, enough for the rants. Back to my main post.

How can you describe this outfit? Edgy? Casual? This is the first time I wore an aztec leggings and it’s somewhat uncomfy for me because I guess this outfit is not so me. But there’s no harm in trying. According to Fashion. What. Why. How. :

fashion helps us to show who we are and depict our personality in the terms of visual information. In the way we choosing clothes we show our attitude to world and other people. It is also some kind of communication. We put some of our personality at everything, how we behave at different situations, what we eat and which style of clothes we choose at shops. All the parts of it build the main stream of fashion. But in spite of our personality every person at the world have something in common. Even if it’s the smallest thing. All over the world there are a lot of people who have the same tastes, who choose the same food and trousers of the same kind. There are a lot of traits which build the fashion of today.”

I wore this because I was on a feeling of being simple yet fashionable. I have been a reader of our famous fashion bloggers in our country and they can really pulled off an outfit somewhat like this. And so, I tried to have this look but I don’t know if it this a YAY or NAY! What do you think?

Shoes: S&H
I already wore this pair of shoes here when I tried to pull a simple and casual Friday outfit. I am actually preparing myself to be simple since I’ll be working in a different world in a few months. I should start collecting shoes like this because I’ll be more on field work and working with new different set of technical people. Whew! This will be a milestone in my life and a challenge to take for me to grow as an individual. Thank you Papa J for giving me an opportunity like this!

What's in my shopping loot bag?

1. Crocs (New Released)
2. Keep Clam and Be Pretty Muscle Tee - Suite Blanco
3. 4 pairs of earrings - Suite Blanco
4. Canon Ixus 310 HS

1. Crocs (New Released) - Since we were not able to go to Crocs Megasale in NBC Tent, we decided to stroll around Bonifacio High Street  and went to Crocs shop itself to look for my desired design. I opted this bulky pair of Crocs because it’s good for my super casual look most especially when doing groceries, visiting my 2 super adorbs nieces, and sporting my bowling-look attire. I first wear a pair of this when I was trying to fit my ate’s pairs of this design. I found it comfy on my feet plus I saw myself looking good on this during my lazy-day outfit. LOL!

I was so happy when I got this because this is their last pair of this design on my size. The saleslady told me that this is their best-seller design and it is easily consumed. I reckon I was just lucky that day and this design is really for me. LOL.
P.S. Thank you so much sis for this pair of Crocs. I’ll use this. Always.
2. Keep Calm and Stay Pretty Muscle Tee from Suite Blanco - 3. 4 pairs of Earrings from Suite Blanco
When my sister realized that we were just near SM Aura, we decided to have lunch there so we could visit the newly-opened mall. I’ve been reading a lot of articles about SM Aura and one of the articles that I’m really curious about is SUITE BLANCO.
Suite Blanco originated in Spain. The prices of their stuff range from Php150-2500 or more than. According to Filipino fashion bloggers, Suite Blanco is like Forever 21 in terms of value. They retail casual clothes up to semi-casual clothes. But of course, when you’re really good in mixing-and-matching, you can come up whatever look you could pull depends on your mood.
They also have shoes, bags, accessories, hats, wallets, and the likes. They also have men’s section in which my brother-in-law got 2 polo shirts for himself. Meanwhile, I got this Keep Calm and Stay Pretty Muscle Tee for Php799 and these 4 pairs of earrings for Php349 while my sister got 2 inner tops for Php600 and 1 blouse for Php799. How cool is that? Its all worth it, right?
This became my MANTRA everyday!
If you want to visit Suite Blanco, you can visit it at the ground floor of SM Aura, near Forever 21.
Taken inside the fitting room of suite Blanco. Just checking if this muscle tee fits me right. LOL! :)
P.S. What can you say about my full bangs?
4. Canon Ixus 310 HS
Most of my photos here in my blog were taken by my old Sony digital camera. I realized that digital camera’s actuations are also losing its life expectancy just like the DSLR. For some of you who are not photography-enthusiast, ACTUATIONS (or shutter counts) is the amount of photos your camera has taken. This is the number you see when you’re transferring your photos from your camera to your computer (for example: IMG_009). This is an upsetting thing for an avid photo taker to learn for the first time because it’s not something we know until we are told. Once the camera reached its shutter counts, photos will be noisy no matter how you adjust its settings.
This is what happened to my Sony camera. It already reached its shutter counts since I took photos even if it’s not worth it to click it for. HAHA.. Before, I loved taking photos randomly so I could have something to laugh about. But since I learned that shutter counts can also be reached to a digital camera, I stopped clicking it. I click it if there’s something to click about. I lose the enthusiasm in taking photos using my digital camera because of the noisy of my taken photos (though I still have my dslr to use) even if I adjust the settings many times.
So to stop my rants, I thought of buying a new digital camera but I’m just waiting for something. Surprisingly, as we were promenading within Bonifacio High Street, we passed by the Canon store and saw a signage of “50% off” and “0% in 6 months”. We immediately went inside of the store and had second thought of buying it. My sister helped me to decide which is which and I reckon that it was really a good buy. I got this digital camera in 50% off with 0% interest for 6 months. This Canon Ixus 310 HS sports a 12.1 megapixel that can give impressive low light performance and produce good image quality. Since I’m a fashion-conscious photographer, I opted to buy this to take my outfit shots even in low light. This touchscreen digital camera makes this camera more attractive and persuades an aspiring fashion blogger to get this. Canon Ixus 310 HS comes with different color. Unfortunately, there’s no color blue available in their store that’s why I went for this color since it looks elegant in my eyes. LOL!
Here are some of the photos of Canon Ixus 310 HS:

If you’re planning to buy a digital camera, go to Canon Bonifacio High Street branch so you could check their other digital cameras that are on sale. They’re on sale until supplies last.
So there you are. This is one of the moments that made my week followed by this and this. I don’t know how much thankful I am but I really feel so blessed. I can’t thank enough that I had a wonderful weekend like that. As I reflect before that weekend ends, I realized that everything fall into its right place. I reckon that the man above, gave me this kind of happiness in lieu of what I went through. Everything happens for a reason and He will not us let us drown in sadness and pain.

Kimpura Sunday

I was really surprised when my mom woke me up at 8:30 in the morning because my dad wanted to have lunch in Kimpura Japanese Restaurant in Greenhills. I was really wondering at that time that my dad wanted us to dine out. It’s once in a blue moon invitation from him actually that’s why I was really surprised then. LOL.
Since my mom went to church already, I decided to wear shorts because I know how the heat will hit me. I’m not into pants because I’m easily get irritated with the stickyness that pants can bring me. I wanted to look casual that day and so I decided to wear this.
P.S. Sorry for the resolution of the photos. I just used my iTouch and the camera 360 application since it has no flash so kindly bear with it.

Eyewear (frame only): People are People
Sleeveless: Online
Belt: Greenhills
Shorts: thrift find
I’ve been looking for that black frame for so long and I’ve been also asking my dad almost everyday to find one for me. I was really glad when I saw one in People are People for Php200 and so I immediately asked him to buy it for me. I guess that’s one of the perks of being the youngest in the family.. still a spoiled brat to them. hashtag #spoiledbrat

Sunnies: People are People

Earrings: The Little Things She Need (old)

Bangle: thrift find

Flats: gift from a friend
This pair of flats is a gift from someone who is very supportive with whatever decision I have in every aspect of life. She’s one of the people I know who is very vocal with the happiness she feels towards a person’s success. She knows how to uplift one’s spirit on the way to an achievement. She always stays positive in every challenge that she encounters and I look up to her for being strong. Thank you for this pair of flats, mallows! I really do love it. Thank you for being so nice to me. We’ve grown together in this organization and you have shown nothing to me except goodness. Thank you so much for all the things you’ve done for me. Most of all, thank you for the true friendship that you’ve shared with me. I’ll treasure it for the rest of my life! *teary-eyed*

Kimpura Japanese Restaurant -  my dad’s favourite dining place. We had our first dine in here last December 2012 when we drove my mom to her office. He loves to eat here and he has so many memories about this restaurant. This restaurant reminds him of his 20 years of service in Francisco Motors Corporation in Las Piñas. He and his officemates always had their lunch or dinner in their Makati branch after they close transactions. My dad is so sentimental. So it’s hard for him to let go something he used to have before. I guess I know whom I got the genes of being so sentimental. LOL!

my favorite California Makki

dad's favorite Sashimi

my lunch - Gyudon
My dad still remember my first order when we first dined out here.

I apologize for my droopy eyes. Lack of sleep it is! Thanks for inventing sunnies. It’s a saviour for hiding my eyes.

My weekend is already complete. I can’t thank God enough for giving me so much blessings. I can say that I really had a nice and fun weekend. I got to spend time with the people who matter to me. High five, Papa J!

Joy's birthday celebration with childhood friends

One of the moments that made me looked forward to weekend was to be with my childhood friends. It was Joy’s birthday celebration part 2 because she already celebrated on the day of her birthday itself in their house. We celebrated this party at Oakwood Premier Hotel in Ortigas and we were surprised that only 5 of us came that night because we thought that some of her friends from her other group will also come. If that happens, we can’t go home without an alcohol flowing in our blood.
When we’re together, we always talk about our childhood memories. Most of our childhood memories are pretty funny. There’s only one thing that unite us.. VOLLEYBALL. We used to play in streets and most of us became a varsity player of a school (I’m one of them!). Until such a time that we got to have our own lives and not seeing each other that much anymore. But in spite of that situation, we never forget our friendship. We’re always there for each other and we still hangout if we got time.

The birthday girl. So kyot!
Joy is one of my good friends. We always hangout at their house since their house is just in front of our house. We’ve been friends since birth. I grew up with her and her sibling, John. We all know each other’s personality so we know how to play with each other’s mood. What I love about them is they never forget me to invite me at their parties and gimmicks. See?! They know how much I can easily drag when it comes to hangouts and parties. But not only that. Since we know each other since birth, wherever we go, whoever we be with, we still support each other; we're always be friends.

I can count in my fingers who my true friends are. That even we got into fights and disappointments, we still manage to forget those bad episodes and continue our laughs and jokes; That even we got into fights, we never spill our secrets that we once shared. That’s how true friendship works. Respect and trust are the things that we really value.
I love how smart they are when it comes to pieces of advice. They warn me when they know that I won’t be good in a situation that I’ll be entering to. It’s just that, I am the one who is being hard-headed when it comes to listening. But still, they catch me in times of failure and survive me with beers, vodkas, and parties! LOL!

Laidback Friday

Let me start this post with this..

I put up this blog because I want to practice my writing through fashion. I really do love fashion and fashion is what’s in my heart. I really look up to Camille Co, Vern and Verniece Enciso, Dominique Tiu, Joanna Ladrido, Kryz Uy, and Laureen Uy on how smart they dress up and blog everything about it. They inspire me to do what my heart speaks and show the world what I got.

I really love reading their blog. I love how they illustrate mixing-and-matching clothes, accessories, shoes, and bags and how they support online stores and other famous boutiques and be a brand ambassador of it.  It’s nice to know that through their passion, they could be way far from what and where they started. It’s very inspiring because they got to do what they love to do and got successful with it. And as a starter, I really do accept comments and suggestions on how I can improve my blog. I admit that I’m not good in writing compared to them. If they read my blog, I guess they will be commenting on my grammars (which I humbly accept it!).

For some readers who will criticize my blog whether you know me or not, I know that this isn’t my line but I know this thing is worth a try. I made this blog NOT because of money, but because of my passion in fashion and technology. Please don’t get me wrong. I won’t steal their spotlight because I’m just NOBODY in this industry. Since I love shopping and taking photos of myself, why should I not wear it instead of hiding the stuff that I shopped and not take photos of it? Again, this blog is for my passion and NOT FOR MONEY. Thank you.

So bringing you to the focus of this post, I wore a laidback outfit since I didn’t have any invites from friends today. We wear office uniform from Monday to Thursday and so Friday is my fashion day!

Since I have a full time job in a private and conservative company with conservative people, I can’t wear clothes just like that on Fridays since we have dress code. Most likely, wearing a skirt is not an option. It should only be pants - closed shoes - blouse - blazer (if the top is not collared and if the top is sleeveless) for girls and pants - collared shirt for boys. They’re not used to adopting the new generation in fashion. They only wanted the black-and-white combination and not the mix-and-match colors. Sometimes I feel so tight-necked. All my actions are being eyed on by the people in our workplace. So I don’t have any choice but to obey our SOP as well as the oldies.

Earrings: bought it at one of the stores along Tomas Morato, Quezon City

G-Shock Watch: Time Factory (instagram)

As time pass by, I appreciate the importance of time. I’m not in the habit of wearing a watch because I don’t like how some leather bracelet watch affects my wrist. But when I saw this G-Shock from Time Factory in instagram, I fell in love with it and immediately ordered it. I love boyish style watch. It’s good for my lazy-day-outfit most especially on weekends.

Shoes: S&H (Department Store, Robinsons Metroeast)

When I knew that there will be changes that will happen with my career in a few months, I thought of everything I have right now. I thought of growth vs. comfort. Staying in my comfort zone won’t help me grow as an individual. I have to climb up in order to fall and bounce back twice or thrice as much as I could. This new challenge will help me practice what I finished and apply what I learned during my MA days without an assurance if I could make it. It’s a make it-break it situation. If I make it, then I’ll take the next step. But if not, I wish I can go back to where I used to be and continue what I had begun. On the other hand, if I’ll stay at my comfort zone, I have an assurance that I can go straight to the next level of my career.

As I thought of this new upcoming challenge for me, I also thought of something that I could wear on field. I don’t have footwear for field work and I guess this should be the start of investing footwear such shoes like this. And as I was checking my instagram, I saw pairs of shoes that suit for field work and still fashionable (fashion won’t be far from whatever career that I will have in the near future). Since I’ll be pairing it mostly with jeans and shirt, it will come out nicely with this pair of shoes that I chose. I was supposed to buy it online and I’m lucky that there’s a part in Robinson’s Metroeast Department Store that caters S&H since I’m just near at that mall. I was so happy to have this near me given that this shoes comes with different color combination. You can check their instagram (snh_fashion) or like their facebook page here.

Jacket: St. Francis Square
Inner Top Sleeveless: Primadonna
Belt: Greenhills
Pants: Bench (old)

This blazer is a one-lucky-find. As I was strolling in St. Francis Square, I saw this hanging in a sale portion of a stall. The saleslady come over me and asked me to buy it since that blazer is on sale. I was surprised when she told me that it was priced at Php200 from Php800 plus all the clothes that they were selling were designed by a designer (Sorry but I forgot who that designer is). So I bought 2 blazers with different design. Oh! that's what I love about sale! I'm too thrifty to spend large amount money for a no-brand stuff. The blazer has a good quality of fabric – neither that thick nor thin. In addition to that, this blazer can turn your casual outfit into semi-casual outfit and te-ne-nen!!! You’re ready for a meeting!

So there you are! Here’s what I wore last Friday. I was so happy at that day because I was looking forward to weekend because of scheduled go outs with the people I wanted to be with. I might take my ootd (outfit of the day) photos on Fridays and weekends since we’re dressed on our office uniform on Mondays to Thursdays.

Happiness is a choice

Nothing ends nicely, that’s why it ends.

That’s how I define my year 2012 ender. It was difficult for me to deal with such an extreme heartbreak knowing that the person you’ve given your whole love and trust will find new love days after your break up. And after two and half months of separation, he’ll be back just to show how he had changed way back when you were still together. How stupid I was to see him and talk to him. Whew! Oh well, L.O.V.E. made me stupid!

So 2013 began and I’m “quite” feeling good with whatever situation I encountered. I just focused on things that can make me better and be with people who know my value. People advised me that I shouldn’t post sad quotes and pictures so I won’t look bitter with what happened and proved that he’s not my lost. I guess it works and I’m feeling happier now than before.
All these photos were taken in my 32gb iTouch (4th generation) using my instagram account and the camera 360 application. Since iTouch has no flash and the noise is very noticeable, I need to use some application so it will look clear.

Taken from my instagram: nostalgicmortal
These photos were taken during the 2nd birthday part of my dearest godchild, Kesha, at Shakey’s Katipunan. Sunnies were gifted to me by my 2 cutie patooties nieces on my birthday last January 4. So sweet of my angels!

Sunnies: Parfois
These photos were taken on Chinese New Year this year. We had our mass at Christ the King in Greenmeadows and headed to Atrium in Megamall for a lunch and family bonding.

Dad's Matte Rayban

My Rayban
These photos were taken last April when we were on our way to Bicol to spend Holy Week’s vacation. I used PhotoToaster application so the whole photo will be posted in instagram. I and dad were using Rayban. Thanks for the sunnies, dad! You really are spoiling me!

These photos were taken in the office. The only thing I love about these photos is my HAIR! I love how my bangs fall into its right place. LOL! See how pa-cute I am???!!!!! That’s how vain I am! So if you’re getting annoyed with all my photos, it’s your problem! Not mine! Chos! :p

DOPE cap: PMLP Apparel

Do I look swag or pa-cute? LOL! I love this DOPE cap from PMLP Apparel. I just saw this cap on Deuce Manila DJ's ( For FYI only.. they are the only female duo in Manila). I saw their photo wearing this cap and I found it interesting. I was lucky to have this because this cap is limited.
This is my first time to use a swagger cap. There are various colors to choose from. Just check their facebook page and look for your best choice. So how do I look like? Is it good to me? And oh! I love this cap!
So this is what I do if I'm getting bored. I do love taking photos because I love myself and I won't let those bad things ruin my happiness.
Happiness is a choice and I'm so blessed with what I have. Thank you for making me like this. I won't find myself back into the right track without those ups and downs and because of that, it made me stronger and wiser in choosing what's right for me.
